Tytiana's Pattern Goes Urban Chic

Tytiana's original pattern was colorful and bright. She toned the colors down to give it a more urban feel and used it as a background for her self-portraits. It looks like she's standing in front of a huge wall of graffiti. You can see how many variations she achieved, and how much mileage she's getting from this one pattern.

Another free building software

In Brick x Brick, we take advantage of free software Sketchup by Google. It's a 3D drafting program anyone with a computer can download from the internet and use. Tutorials come with it to show you how.

Another one we love is Lego Digital Designer. It's free, and lets us get creative with Lego building blocks like we used to do on the living room floor - but in a digital environment. Download it here.

Sherianne's Roller Coaster Ride

This will make a cool animation! Maybe we could use it for a billboard...

Little Havana Institute rocks the PhotoBooth

Lucelly, Kathryn and Daisy experimented with self-portraits using PhotoBooth and paying special attention to identifying (or creating) specific locations within the imagery. In one case they used their own imagery as background to layer the portraits over one another and produce some cool effects. As usual with PhotoBooth, it turned out to be a wild and crazy session that produced lots of great work!

MeMi's Towers

Welcome to MeMi'S ToWeRs. I came up with the idea for the colors from the way my personality stands out. And the characters are from this book that had diffrent kinds of weird shape. If anybody knows me they know that i like to be original and i like my work to stand out.

Swirl

I thought about my two favorite colors, then I thought about lines  and just started experimenting  with lots of different patterns until I came up with swirl. After my creation... I thought I was finished creating my masterpiece. No not really... I was then introduced to this AMAZING program called Photo Booth, which allowed me to upload my pictures to the computer and use my creation as a background on anything I want.
